Henry’s a right-handed pitcher that was drafted by the Red Sox in the 40th round, but decided to go to college (1 of 3 newcomers who made that decision). He’s out of Port Neches Grove High School and was the 9th ranked RHP/25th overall player in the state of Texas and 253rd best player in America by Perfect Game. He was also named to PG’s All-Region State of Texas 1st Team.

Henry went 5-2 his senior year and helped guide the Indians to a second straight District 22-5A championship. He pitched 57 2/3 innings and carried a 1.21 ERA with 88 strikeouts and 29 walks.

The Indians were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by Santa Fe. Henry was named co-MVP of District 22-5A along with Baylor signee and PNG teammate Ryan Leckich.
