Son of former Major Leaguer, Jason Grimsley, and one-time commit to San Diego, Grimsley is a red shirt sophomore out of Tomball, TX. Perfect Game had him as the 107th best OF coming out of high school and 55th best player in Texas. Last year for San Jacinto, Grimsley hit .341/.466/455 with 54 runs and 27 stolen bases in 30 attempts. Grimsley led off during the U18 game and played CF going 1-4 with a double, 2 runs and 2 RBIs.
My guess is that CF and the leadoff spot is Grimsley’s to lose at this point.
