Fuentes is out of Deer Park High School and spent a year at Alvin Community College before transferring to UH. He’s mainly a 2B although he can probably play SS if needed. Last year, Fuentes hit .410 with 11 doubles, 6 homers, and 32 RBI’s with an 18:7 BB/K ratio. He’s got some pop for a middle infielder which is something the club has needed.
