I can’t remember if DR got the idea for the wishbone after seeing BY’s veer? If so was it just an ego trip on DR’s part not to acknowledge BY’s offense? Is one better than the other?
The Veer was invented by Bill Yoeman and had it’s roots in the single wing offense. The Wishbone was developed by Emory Ballard while he was OC at Texas and was based on the T formation.
