UCF is coming off an OT game and will just have two days to rest for us which includes traveling.
Our guys will get some rest and much needed practice time this week. I think we will be locked in with laser focus.

“The heavy workload has yet to undermine Edwards or others in the Cougars’ short-handed backcourt. That doesn’t alleviate concerns moving forward, especially as Houston prepares for a rugged stretch that features games at Cincinnati and SMU. With its depth compromised, Houston will be challenged to stay in the fight for 40 minutes game after game.
“That’s going to be our question the rest of the year: How can we finish games?” Sampson said. “With our lineup, there are so many variables beyond our control: foul trouble, who’s on the floor, fatigue. I think we can keep our front line fresh. The biggest thing is the backcourt.”

The teams don’t concern me as much as the schedule does. Having to play consecutive road games with just 2 days rest while the other team gets 3 is BS. Then we return home for a third game with just 2 days rest.

You’re right. Anyone in this conference can beat you if the stars align. And being short with a tight run of games is just that type of scenario.
Not gonna get pessimistic yet. Our guys are laser focused.
