UT said that should not officially count so it did not. I watched the second half and you would think McConaughey was dating one of the star players based upon the number of times he was on the screen.

Looked up Kyle Field. Its current capacity of 105,700 was created in 2015 after $millions spent on expansion and remodeling.
The 2014 Ole Miss game does show attendance in 2014 of 114,000 on ESPN web page records. However that seems to be impossible since Kyle Field was still being worked on in 2014.
The Longhorns will claim the attendance record until next month.
In November The Horns visit Kyle Field. THAT will become the Alltime State record for attendance.

I watched UT-Georgia from the comfort of my couch.
Do not attend Aggie games, but can do logic. A stadium which expands in 2015 to a new capacity cannot set a larger attendance in 2014 when it still held the previous capacity.
Not rocket science.

Glad you have a perspective on reality in this regard.
Stadiums go over listed capacity all the time. SRO, sideline, etc. It’s how we announced almost 43k for the Texas game last year despite a listed capacity of 40k.
(Texas is only listed at 100,119, by the same stroke.)

Texas and Texas A&M have been having this back-and-forth on attendance as long as I can remember. It is really one of the sillier competitions to show who is better. If UT had 105,215, you can bet A&M will have 105,216 at some point.
