$19 million

To buyout coach Fritz 22.5 million dollar contract if UH fires him before 2028 :astonished::astonished::astonished:

In case y’all were curious with the recent struggles.

Believe your dates off a bit. We owe him 19 million if we fire him before 2027. We’d owe 60% of his remaining salary after.

If you always get up from the wrong side of the bed, you will always have the wrong perspective. As CKS had said, administration creates champions. So, the question should be is CWF getting all the resources to get successful. And if not what can be done better. Else we will keep changing coaches and wipe ourselves out with the financial burden.

We can spend half that on NIL and get competitive much faster. Make him replace the OC too

My thoughts as well

Heck a 1/4 of it would make a huge difference

Quit talking this nonsense and stirring the pot, he gets a minimum of 3 years to fix this mess good lord 5 games in and you’re worried about firing him? We can’t afford it period so forget about it!!

The only way that UH might terminate Coach Fritz is if Nick Saban agreed to coach the UH FB team and also personally agreed to contribute $10+ million annually to the UH NIL program.

Otherwise, you can forget about it. Yeah, I think we can forget about it!

How much to fire part of UH’s delusional fanbase?

I’m always surprised that Sports fans love finance. And never surprised how quickly fans want to fire coaches. Because we know coaching happens instantly.

It was always going to be a bad season. I didn’t think it would be a scoreless season. But what the Hell. I want to see improvement and an upward trajectory by the middle of next season. Every solid coach gets the three years to show where they’re headed. And Willie has always been a solid coach.

Why do we continue to give bad coach friendly contracts to coaches who have no leverage?

CWF is 65 and this is his first P4 job.

CDH was about to get fired from WVU THEN we gave him an undeserved extension!

Why do we put these ridiculous buyouts in the contract?

If they suck…we fire them and move on.

There weren’t multiple Power 4 teams negotiating for CWF…WE had the leverage…take this job or else we will hire Odom or Traylor

This is the same administration who hired Levine, Applewhite, Holgorsen, and Fritz.
Other than Briles, Sumlin, and Herman we made 4 bad choices compared to 3.

It’s WAY too early to say Fritz was a bad hire. I think he’ll get the program turned around, but we won’t really know for another year or two.

Just a stupid premise/assertion.

Look at me. I started a topic to display my mindless perspective.
