It is far too easy to think that Akeem became Hakeem overnight. Mr. Lewis molded Akeem. He was so raw nobody could have thought what he would become. Luck plays a huge role when it comes to the Final Four. Some might say we gotta create our own luck. True but so far the 80’s team are still way above to where we are today. I want to be proven wrong in a few weeks.
Anyhow the three point line has changed the game into a totally different game. It is impossible to compare. Could the 80’s players play in CKS system? Of course they could. One does not become a HOF without a basketball brain and wanting to learn. The question might asked a different way. Would CKS recruit the 80’s players to play his “brand” But again that “brand” had to respond to the three points line adjustment.
