Itās this hobby I have that supports my Cougars habit.
Oregon Stateās last 6 games, all vs tourney teams
Result Team (seed) score
W UCLA (11) 83-79
W Oregon (7) 75-64
W Colorado (6) 70-68
W Tennessee (5) 70-56
W Oklahoma State (4) 80-70
W Loyola Chicago (8) 65-58
For people claiming we have an āeasyā path, this OSU is as hot as any team in the country right now.
More BS about making shots.
At this point in the Tournament, I donāt see our team losing to a 12 loss team who finished in the middle of their conference standings. Oregon State is hot, but so are we. Ten game winning streak.
Hopefully weāll win and move on to the Final Four to face Baylor or Arkansas.
Everyone looks scary right now.
Oregon St is A LOT better than their record. It took them a while but they are rolling now. This game will be a war. Their height will give us trouble.
Time to take back Harris County.
I donāt think it is going to be easy but teams and individuals always regress towards the mean. They are playing way outside of how they played most of the year. We are playing pretty much how we played all year. Given those two facts, I think the Coogs win this game along the lines of the Syracuse score.
In the Sagarin recent ratings that rate how good a team is currently playing. OSU is 5 and UH is 6. For comparison Loyola Chicago is 8 and Syracuse is 14.
I hope two things:
- that we still have gas left in our tanks after 'Cuse, and
- that we arenāt ālooking pastā Oregon State.
Damn I want to see us get back in the Final Fourā¦and get there in CONVINCING fashion!!!
GO COOGS!!!
We are due for one of those games where all our shots are falling. I expect it tonight!
Go coogs!
I worry about their size. Hope we stay Savage
This is a good thing. The refs will be in our favor because the money is on Oregon.
Thanks. So we should expect the whistles whenever we get around an eight point lead.
Iām still waiting for Sasser to break out of his shooting slump, but I like that heās not just letting it fly from 3 anymore. Heās working in that floater and even hit a free throw J against Syracuse. Seems like the Beavers defend the 3 ball pretty well and have some size inside, so this might be the game for Sasser, Grimes, Mark and Jarreau to go off from the mid range.
