Verbal, early signing isn’t until December. No one has any 2022 HS recruit signed yet, nor can they.

Remember how awful it felt playing Memphis, knowing that every time they crossed the 30 it was an almost automatic 3 points?

I’ll give him a BOOM once he signs. I’ve seen too many “commits” change their minds over the years.

Come to think of it Dana has always struggled from the red zone. Even when he was here the first time. This kid could be the lynchpin in racking up the requisite wins to get Dana back on track. But I’m a “run first
points by any means” kinda guy.

Assuming this young man signs his NLI in December and has as strong a kicking leg as advertised, it will be a big get for the program. There is nothing more advantageous to a kickoff coverage team than having a kicker who can consistently boom the ball out of the back of the end zone, and having a gifted kicker who can win close games with long, last-second field goals can potentially be the difference between a team having a very successful season as compared to a truly magical one.

We’ve had a lot of good games with Tulsa and football wise they really shouldn’t be ditched. Financially though they are a very small private school, with a limited following, in a limited state. They are bad for business to put it plainly and as we can all see realignment is definitely a business decision.

We’ve had very reliable kicking and punting for a few seasons. Let’s just keep that string going. The kicking game is a nightmare for a lot of programs.
