I don’t think so. I think he’s going to end up being a great player in the NFL.
I think he could’ve been Kyler Murray-level, and probably should’ve been if it weren’t his bad luck. He never had a consistent coaching staff. Imagine if he had Briles all 4 years of his college career. He would’ve broke Kyler’s records just like he did when he was at Manvel.
I think the NFL noted his unfortunate circumstances which is why they’re giving him a chance. He’s a good kid. Did what he had to do.
No matter what, he’s still one of my favorite UH players of all time, and I will be rooting for him regardless of what college shows up on his player card.
