Ramon Walkers shot looked so much better last year. I seriously have no idea what happened to his shot this year and why he didn’t progress but he was a nice contributor to an elite 8 team. Averaged 23 and 8 in HS. He has potential hopefully he can put it all together and stay healthy

Cruel? I think that’s a bit much. These athletes aren’t kids. They should be able to look at the situation they’re entering into and assess whether it’s in their best interest. If they end up riding the bench because they chose to go to a stacked team that’s on them.
the big part of my post, that i probably didnt mention is that the kids are probably being sold all kinds of promises (that are lies)… they all wouldnt be going there if they were bring honest… look at the unt guard (that was c-usa poy) that is heavily considering arkansas… he did an interview where he would be brought in to run the pg spot …arkansas has an elite recruit pg, a starter transfer pg from washington and then there are guys like tramon mark and devo davis who would like more pg roles …
while im sure they see the competition coming in, if they are being told they will be the guy, they will trust the coach (every athletes at all level believe they will be the guy till they arent)
the unethical part was the luring a bunch of last chance guys with promises of greatness, knowing even if they were all great 3-4 of the them dreams will be killed … thats why i used courtney ramey as an example, we could have easily lied to ramey (“you will be start for us”, mark/shead can come off the bench etc. ), and in the long run would have been better fo the team ,but we chose to be honest

If you promise 5 guys a spot that only 1 or 2 guys can have, then I agree that’s a tad unethical. But is their actual hard evidence of that though or is it speculation? At the end of the day Arkansas is going to try and build the best roster they can. These kids are all still getting NIL deals, practice time, and an opportunity to earn a starting spot. Furthermore, you don’t even have to be a starter to get notice led by NBA scouts. So I don’t really have an issue with what Arkansas is doing. It could back fire anyway but I get why they’re loading up given that their season this year got partially derailed from injuries.
Edit: I’ll just add that if ultimately these guys are being lied to that will eventually get around and Musslemans rep will take a beating. So if he’s doing anything unethical than it should come back around on him and if not then it’s all fair game.

I don’t want to inject into this conversation but you could argue that Arceneaux didn’t deserve to be on the list. Dan Skillings Jr received a bigger role and was more consistent throughout the season. The plays he made didn’t always make the stat sheet but he made winning plays. Just like Ramon his freshman year. Did Arceneaux make it on there because UH was top 3 all year? Surely, Arceneaux has the potential to be a better player(not that Skillings doesn’t), however, side to side this year you might have to go Skillings Jr. It’s an argument to be had. Who was more impactful on their team?
