They are fun to watch. Great athletes! Bought a single season ticket this year to acknowledge their accomplishments from last year. Next year it will be two or four.

4 games remain on the schedule. Tonight’s game against TCU at FC is important. TCU is 8 -8 in conference. UH has moved to 4th place, by winning 9 of last 11 and 7 consecutive. Second place in conference is within reach.
Coogs win 1st set 25-17.
Coogs win 2nd set 25 - 22. Great set to win. Set was extremely close and hard fought throughout, but Coogs played great in crunch time.

Coogs win set 3: 25 - 21. Impressive match.

Next up, Iowa State Friday, the 17th in FC. Another big game.

This was the Coog’s 11th sweep of the season. This one & the UCF sweep were against top 50 teams. They’re starting to remind me of some of Bill Walton’s teams in the 1990’s.

I remember the announcers in the last game reported that before the sweep of TCU the Coogs had a national RPI of 27. I would think Coogs are “in” the field, but each of last three games is a big deal.
ISU plays a great 1st set and wins 25 -19.
ISU wins set 2, 25 -23.
Coogs win set 3, 25 -18. ISU leads 2 sets to one.
Coogs win set 4, 25 - 15. Match tied 2-2.
First one of these “first to 15, win by 2” 5th sets I can remember this season.
Epic match, but Coogs come up just short. ISU 16 -14 in 5th.

Maybe the athletic department did too good a job of making ISU feel at home. It had to have been below 60 degrees in the FC. Every time I sat back in my seat, it felt like I had an ice pack on my back.

I made a donation this evening to Cougar Pride for Women’s Volleyball.

They deserve it.

Monster game this eve. Coogs travel to Waco. My guess is both teams are near the bubble.
Game at 6 pm. ESPN +.

Sorry to see the season ending so soon. It was a pleasant distraction from the miserable football season.
Never really appreciated volleyball until the end of last year.
The team is fun to watch.
Go Coogs

Let us hope the team has a nice December run ahead.

Another microscopically close set, but Bears prevail 25 -23.

Now tied at one.

This is a great match

2 pm today. K State. Fertitta Center. Season may very well come down to this result.

Go Coogs.

The ladies are in a favorable position. All their losses this season have been to current top-40 teams, and KSU is #57. The road loss to #36 Baylor shouldn’t hurt too much. The Coogs are #27 so it’s unlikely they drop out of at-large bid range.

Anybody want a ticket
.cant make it. :slightly_frowning_face:

Thanks for your post. I defer to your vastly superior knowledge. I am only a little paranoid after decades of what I perceived as slights by the majestic wisdom of our “betters” in the NCAA across various sports.
Everyone, including Coach Rehr agrees UH is in the tournament, so good on us, because K State easily took set 1.
Impressive end to regular season. Abbie Jackson out, K State cruises a to set 1 win: 25-19, the Coogs then put on their Rooster Cogburn gear and gut out set 2: 29 - 27.
After that Coogs crush sets 3 and 4: 25-18 and 25 - 10.
Great season.

Was at the game today. Great atmosphere. Was worried after the first set, but unlike our football coach, CDR knows how to make adjustments. The ladies staged a great comeback.
It’s not hard to win in the Big 12, ask the ladies.
I wish the best for all our seniors, they made us proud to be Cougars.
