I kept saying “he was offsides, quit your bitching Kirby!”
Based on their performance after that loss, seems like it was a “bad day”.
Oh ok
So the committee just pretends the game didn’t exist
So why didn’t UH make the CFP this year? We just a lot of bad days, so what’s the big deal?
ND was always going to be favored by the committee. I think they earned their spot in the CFP. And it looks like they’ll be in the natty. I don’t see PSU beating them.
Is it me or do the announcers sound underwhelm about ND winning this game. Not their SEC buddies
Well in the SEC it just means more
Blessing those Dawgs w the Holy Spirit baby, suck it Kirby
I agree. But all the decision makers see is dollar signs. This whole CFP model is much closer to an exhibition tournament like the Maui Invitational just trying to stack brands and snag eyeballs, more than it is a true championship.
And ASU was THIS CLOSE to screwing up the whole thing for ESPN. That was obviously targeting btw.
Although I haven’t been terribly impressed with their administration or their fan base in how they’ve conducted themselves as new conference members outside the lines.
But I darn sure respect how they played and contributed competitively.
Their era of dominance is over.
Sure. But it does cheapen the regular season.
And specifically with respect to ND, it cheapens the conference grind, the conference championship games, and OUR conference in general.
So it’s fair to have a problem with it. Regardless of how good Notre Dame is right now.
But yeah, they are obviously good enough to be in. But will it work the same way for a 2nd place Big 12 team who had an off day against another Big 12 team, let alone NIU?
I doubt it.
And with that win, I think it’s safe to say ND isn’t joining a conference anytime soon
Bye bye to another SEC team.
Great job Irish!!!
Now it’s time for Ohio State to finish off the SEC!!!
Why would they? They get some decent $ from comcast. Plus they can make their schedule and barring anything crazy happening they will almost be guaranteed a spot in the CFP.
Let me share this gem Herbstreit tweeted out after Matt Campbell beat #3 Oklahoma in Norman as 31 point underdogs in his 2nd season at ISU…literally his FIRST big win…7 years ago.
Andy Garman was a local reporter at a DSM affiliate, who wasn’t even a Cyclone. All he did was tweet out congratulations to the Cyclones.
Kirk even personally replied to SO MANY fans in comments in the most smug mean-spirited way possible. This is the kind of guy he is.
Wasn’t Herbstreit the one saying that Indiana didn’t belong in the CFP after losing to Notre Dame by 10 in South Bend?
Wonder what he’ll say now after Georgia lost to Notre Dame by 13 at a neutral site…
I don’t think the SEC is overrated, just a bit down this year. The B1G looks to be the better conference this year, but ND looks really good and I would not be surprised if they walked away with the championship this year. As much as I hate to say it, the whorns also have a shot. But, the B1G has 2 teams with a chance.
The SEC propaganda machine is licking its wounds.
Edit: The autocorrect is not always your friend. Lol
