It will advantageous to doing what we already do really well and that’s defending and rebounding. With that much energy spent on defense and crashing the boards we are not going to push the pace for the sake of it. If our bigs are that dominant rebounding and we can still turn the team over some open court opportunities will present themselves.
I might swap for a year if it assured us a title lol
Bingo!!!
With so many high performers available , accountability just went up a few notches.
Would love to see a Sampson version of 40 minutes of hell. Come at them in waves
Francis will be the most productive 5 in basketball. There is not 1 center I would want over him. Now with his ability to face up on offense. Best 5 in college basketball, period, bar none. His defense was a off the charts already and with improved foot work. Watch out!
With all this depth, I actually want ro see guys get in foul trouble
Well, I give you an A+ for optimism.
We were asking for bold predictions. That certainly fully qualifies as bold.
Trying to check all the boxes
*3pt shooting
*Enough rebounding
*A rim protector on the floor
*Good spacing on the floor
*Good FT shooters. Don’t wanna have to 2 poor FT shooters out there
I think they wanted to go alot more 4 out, 1 big lineups last yr. But Arceneaux got hurt & Damian Dunn was a liability at the 4 position. His defense was sub par for a small lineup
I prefer Jwan as my “small ball” 5, cause hes a really good passer. How many cross court passes did he make to Sharp & Cryer for an open 3 last yr…Alot
B doesnt even have a point guard
the best lineup unless TA or Jojo play so good they take a starters job will be Francis, Roberts, Sharp, Cryer and Uzan
Bingo that will be the starting lineup
of those 3 lineups id go option C, that a pretty similar line up for what from what we ran last year that was successful
terrance at the 4 was still developing when he got injured, wasnt estabilished as an dventagous lineup yet… He got strongerthis offseason but id have to see how he looked at the 4 before id be comfortably putting him over a 2 big lineup…particularly how the “team” rebounded/prevented offensive rebounds with him in (i know individually hell get rebounding stats)
option B will obviously be the highest upside team but lots of questions
U don’t think Francis and Roberts start together? Maybe not due to not wanting to get them both in foul trouble at same time?
I chose from the 3 lineups he made … Francis and roberts are guaranteed to start together atleast to start the year
beyond those 3 you posted
we have so many upside developmental players that its impossible to tell what will be our best lineup.
our projected starting lineup is the safest lineup and a guaranteed top 10 team at minimum in my opinion
but its not our highest upside team by any means, its shorter, with not great spacing, or defensive rebounding (as of now, i know some of you guys think itll improve drastically)
so many possibilities:
- will Tugler and/or Jwan start shooting 3s- this will drastically change this convo
- how much has terrance arceanux leveled up- and in what areas?
- Will ramon become a fearless efficient shooter - we went from poor defensive rebounding to a passable rebounding team with him on the floor (At the 4), imagine him at the 3 - if we dont have to sacrifice offense to put him in he could be part of our best lineups - imagine our projected defense (scary elite) mixed with our rebounding from 3/4 years ago when we were +20-ing good teams on the glass
- how much better will Milos be on offense or how much more PG skills can LJ show for the purpose of height maxing
- how good is mercy especially creating for himself vs great defenders?
- at 6’6 how ready is mccarthy in being a 3 and D, for both the 3 and the D parts
I think C is the one that gets us to the championship. If JoJo is better then this years Franics whooweee it’s going to be impossible to stop Roberts and him together
The disrespect for Ja’Vier.
