Not quite ready to battle for starter at running back but he’s getting there.
Kelvin Sampson chatting with GoCoogs.com tonight at 8pm CST
Hoping to hear about Uzan, Mercy, Mccarty, McFarland & Arceneaux
Starting soon
theyll be talking about the new AD with him, i kinda dont care about that
Its pronounce MY-LOS!!!
He talked about much more than that. Another great interview by CKS.
He didn’t get too much into the team.
He alluded to Emanuel Sharp always being in the gym. And some guys not putting that extra work to have breakout yrs
Regarding Milos, ill let someone else summarize Coach’s comments
but few basketball talk, more about AD and coaches… milos was brought up but he just said he needs to keep working
would have loved more basketball stuff,
the “do we potentially see anyone redshirting”
“with the increase depth this year will their be a long rotation”
“forward shooting plans”
“plans for terrance, mainly as stretch 4 or back at the 3”
“milos is different than shead, but for those that are returning what growth areas do expect from the team”
it was a good interview but from a personal level, dont really care about the nunez talk, why bishop is good, or why winning the big 12 should be lauded … im more about the sport than the fluff stuff
@pesik agreed. maybe cause the season is still (3) months away its hard to ask personnel decisions in August
Im sure by September or in another media availability Sampson will elaborate on roster decisions
I also wanted them to ask more roster questions, but the answer to Milos… maybe caused GoCoogs.com to pivot
Honestly the interview questions were disappointing, and CKS made the most out of them that he could. When Ryan couldn’t pronounce Milos’ name correctly and CKS checked him, he seemed like he got shaken up. CKS seems to be intimidating in interviews, but his last interview with BR the host seemed much more poised.
That was the only question regarding a specific player and he brought Sharp up unprompted.
Dang what. Players NOT putting in the work??
I like that he brought up Sharp. He’s going to be really good. Lots of people mention Cryer as an all American candidate but it wouldn’t surprise me if Sharp was 3rd team this year and 2nd or 1st team his senior season.
the full context of the quote is that wednesday is a rest day for the players, the players that have a higher chance of reaching their ceiling are putting in work on those wednesdays and not resting like sharp…insinuating some of the player use to the rest day to rest
sharp has a lot of realistic improvement areas, but i think alot of it will be from the things the awards dont care about, like rebounding and defense.
sharp has scary potential on offense but im questioning how realistic that growth is… sharp insanely quick release, and fearlessness mixed with any kind of agility is almost unstoppable… it would borderline college steph curry potential (sharp has the most unguardable shot/release of any player likely ever at Houston- needs the least amount of space)… the issue is im just not sure how much agility is an improvable skillset …do i see sharp shaking and baking next year… im not sure
my biggest offensive improvement area for him Imo will be passing his AST numbers are absurdly too low for how good of a passer he is
I really not interested in hearing Ryan talk but may stomach him if the interview was good and with some great basketball talk.
Thanks for the update on what was said but doesn’t seem like I missed much.
Fade pass to Javier in the endzone would work well!
I’m trying really hard to be excited about football season, but I seriously can’t wait for basketball season!
thats pretty much where im at. will follow football b/c it starts earlier but will quickly switch back to bball once the season kicks off.
basketball > football
more fun to watch, games aren’t too long and we are really good right now, that helps lol
What are the playstyle differences between Terrance and Chase?
