Coach Kellen Sampson, did say tonight the 2021-22 with Marcus Sasser was the best UH team they’ve had.
Called them the #1 team in the country that yr
Shead, Sasser, Edwards, Taze, Ramon (+Mark)

the elite 8 team at full strength has to be up there
sampson said preseason that the core of that team would be sasser, tramon and fabian …and we lost all 3 for most of the season and still made the elite 8…

Fabian was healthy that 2021-22.
Unfortunately, i think he was having back issues towards the end of the season
After the UAB win, his production wasn’t there the next 3 games (Illinois, Arizona, Villanova)

a bigger rotation question for us is …veteran familiarity or freshmen upside for the depth AFTER jojo
we curently have no bench point…
do we go with ramon and mylik- who know the system guranteed top tier rebounding and defense, but not to expect much poinnts
or mercy and chase - who are openly stated as the best shooters on the team after sharp and lj

defense is rarely rewarded on all-conference teams…
even as a starter it would be a up hill battle… it does affect his dpoy chances that the only notable con
as far all conference even as a starter likely HM (honorable mention), and the 6th man still HM…multiple 6th man in the big 12 last year were HM

Man started tearing up when CKS was at the podium talking about RC.
I held my hand up when Shead sunk the winning shot with the classic line of “Jamal Shead plays hero again.”
I am not sure if I am the only one nervous but I feel the biggest unknown is Milos Uzan and his impact on this team negatively or positively. The PG is like the QB in football. If he plays well, we will be ok else not ok. We shall see.
