SMU in
Bama OUT
Is the second round on campus too? Or just first round?
Nope
Just the first rounds I believe
Quarters are Sugar, Rose, Peach, and Fiesta
QFs and semis are at the old NY6 bowl locations like the Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, Orange, Peach, Cotton Bowls.
Yay, we could see Georgia vs UT for a third time!
Iâm happy to see that the Big12 got its deserved auto bye and that they didnât find a way for Bama to get in. Integrity passed. For now.
Bama can be mad at the committee if they want but really need to be mad at Miami. If Miami woulda beat syracuse and the ACC championship, Bama would be in.
Hard to say if Miami or BYU had a harder late fall, but probably Miami; they went from a home and bye to nothing.
Bama shouldnât be mad at anyone but themselves for losing to two 6-6 teams
This is the CFP, itâs not the Alabama invitational
I think the Bama dynasty is over
Amazing how a coaching change, well, changes everything. Isnât it?
Iâm actually excited to see a Georgia vs Oregon matchup so we can see if defense or offense wins championships.
Yep. They did consider making 2nd round on campus then use the major bowls for semis and Championship but the bowl cartel made the numbers work.
A playoff game at night in Happy Valley is a tall order for SMU.
Boise fans are stoked. Weather could be an equalizer in their game vs psu/smu and UGA jas nothing easy to get thru, very l.ong shot they play for the title but probably the best the could hope for.
Iâm just happy that despite the ACC getting in 2 teams, the Big 12 can claim one of the 4 auto-bids at least
Not something the ACC can say
That being said, Boise St over BYU/ISU in my opinion is questionable
I looked it up.
Offense wins The National Title.
Look for Oregon to win. They have a more-than-adequate running game and their passing game is unstoppable.
đ
They really gave t.u. an easy path to the final
@3rdWardCoog Boise St getting in is questionable?
They reward 1 non P4 conf champion with a playoff spot
If Boise St wouldâve lost, would their spot have gone to an At Large team, or would they have given that spot to Army.who won the AAC
Seems fair other than boise getting a buy. They should be in the playoffs but not a bye bc sos isnât p4. At least they gave the big12 respect and proves there isnât this overwhelming agenda of p2 to an extreme. Itâs there but this was a reasonable bracket and seems mostly fair.
Saban bitching about OOC games (despite Bama winning all 4) and referring to TCU as âSome team that beat K-Stateâ and prevented Bama from the playoffs a few years ago is so salty and hilarious.
How can weather be an equalizer, its indoors.
