They didn’t consider the Navy defense was/has been awful when making this hire?
One of the worst in FBS in RZ Scoring %, 4D conversions, points per play, yards per play, etc.
They did well in limiting yards per game (#34) with the Navy offense running the clock and limiting possessions.
I’m sure nobody good would work for the pay
Navy has a more important focus than trying to win a conference title or a natty.
At least they bring opposing fans to AAC home games and plenty of chop blocks. Stay classy Navy.
I wonder if they way they fired Coach Ken limited their choices.

Could the internal hire be related to a buyout?
Next year was the last year on his contract so the buyout was probably negligible.

Ed is a pretty smart dude, he’s been the chief of staff at Miami for the last few years. He should do ok there since Bethune-Cookman is typically one of the better HBCUs.

I have not seen the incoming coach being the HC in the bowl game. It seems like they always start the next season but here Fickell is coaching Wisconsin in their bowl game. It is always hard to predict who will be successful where in coaching but I have a very good feeling that he will be a great one for Wisconsin followed by Rhule in Nebraska.
Sonny Dykes coached SMU’s bowl game when he was hired to replace Morris.
Jim Nora Jr was hired as an “assistant” midseason last year to get a jump on planning and recruiting., which was pretty brilliant.
I can see where Gundy is coming from here, but just answer it with the typical “We evaluate every part of the program at the end of the season” coachspeak.
And yeah, he was mad about the game. C’mon man. 
Oh yeah, what are coachspeak (sarcasim - don’t get your panties in a hitch yet)? An answer that doesn’t satisfy reporters, fans, players, Congress and the PC crowd? Or just a response by a real coach that may just be intelligent enough to pi$$ off expert couch-potato, internet posting coaches/experts due to the stupidity of the question? Just asking for a friend – an observer, not a combatant.
