2025-2026 Houston Cougars Basketball Season

Hopefully, that just motivated him even more!

I am glad he did not make it. Now he is back with the rest of the team and Bishop to get stronger and work with the rest on team chemistry. With our coaching staff, probably in his best interest long term as well.

If you could only pick one player on the roster to have a breakout season, who would you want it to be?
Part of me really wants it to be Kingston but with Uzan here that seems less crucial. So right now I’m really thinking Chase would be great. Of course i would love to see Walker put it all together for his Senior season.
I don’t think it’s a key to a great season for anyone to break out but having someone step up and take over the wing spot would be huge.

Mercy.

It depends definition of breakout season.

If Mercy isnt a significant contributor next season. I worry a bit about his future here

Nate Hinton off the bench, 19mpg & averaged 7.2ppg. Will Mercy average the same or less?

My definition is a player who contributes way more than expected or who puts up stats like we had not seen in the past

Kingston, im probably the most excited to see him play. Cenac is special

Athlete wise Taze Moore, Mylik Wilson type. But more skilled.

Is he mature enough on the floor to play significant minutes.

I definitely would consider Taze and Mylik breakouts of the past

Kingston is like Taze and Mylik athletically in your opinion?

He’s similar athletically to Mylik, same height, Kingston builds muscle a lot easier though.

Just wondering if one of the slots for the U19 team came down to Cenac and Koa Peat:
Peat = Arizona commit
U19 Head Coach = Tommy Lloyd

Just sayin’

Random I know but I’m told rapper Drake was playing basketball at UH earlier yesterday

He was also in town for the Morgan Wallen concert

Drake said he’s placed $125 million in bets over the past month and lost $8 million.

Watched some replays last night, mostly the last 8-10 minutes, of our games vs Duke, Purdue and Kansas. Full game replays are all on YouTube in HD, they are a lot of fun to go back and watch and much less stressful too!

One thing that stands out is how ridiculously active and disruptive JoJo is, he is everywhere, batting balls, getting tips and rebounds, defending, switching, etc…

Those last 5 minutes of those games, he has an impact on both ends nearly every play.

Unranked & Down 30

I can’t remember a recent time we played a game unranked. Gotta be 2019-2020, i think
