Yamamoto is incredible
Man, that one hurt.
And Toronto lifted Bichette for a pinch runner already. Hopefully they can find some magic with their hottest hitters coming up.
Fireworks have started. I’m not feeling it.
That’s the kind of jinx we need!
That has to be so hard to just stay within yourself and take those pitches in this situation.
Wow. Amazing Series. I was at Game 7 against the Nationals so I feel your pain Toronto.
LA was straight balls.
What Yamamoto just did, one of the greatest performances in sports history.
What a tremendous series. God, I love baseball.
Tomorrow always marks my worst day of the year. Four freakin months for the world to start again.
hate to see the dodgers win spending much of my youth with the NL astros but i figured they’d pull it out.
great series, baseball playoffs is the best, even the stanley cup is second and i’m from hockeytown and would prefer to be out on the ice more than most anything else. hockey and basketball dont have series like that.
And it’s even worse because of how today went.
I really need a Fertitta Center beatdown on Monday.
Personally, I’m glad the Dodgers won.
As I’ve said before, had the Blue Jays won, then they might legitimately usurp the Astros’ currently legitimate claim to being the most successful “expansion” franchise in MLB history by being the only MLB expansion team with three WS titles.
Having lost, the Astros can still legitimately claim to be #1.
I wanted Toronto to win because they were the AL representative and I’m not fond of franchises buying an All-Star team.
In that regard, LA has become the new NYY.
i am not sure how the astros can be considered an expansion franchise over 50 years now. hockey has on original 6, 6 teams the nhl was founded on and my detroit red wings are one of them, i dont consider any one else after expansion. i have actual time involved as an NL astros fan hating the dodgers and later braves for washing out the astros in the playoffs, the blue jays having a title means about as much to my as when the oakland A’s did.
What a game! What a World Series.
As the great Rudy T said some 30 years ago, “never underestimate the heart of a champion.”
I wanted Toronto to win because while most people have been trained to hate the teams that were busted for cheating, I hate the teams that are allowed to cheat and for whom MLB cheats.
Because the Astros simply ARE an expansion franchise.
They were a part of the very first cohort class of MLB expansion in 1962.
Prior to that, there had only been eight teams in each league for more than a half century.
We are tied with several other expansion franchises with two WS titles.
We are tied with the Mets with five pennants.
We lead in division titles, post season appearances, post season wins, and all-time wins by an expansion franchise.
Most notably….we are the ONLY MLB expansion franchise with an all-time winning percentage over .500.
But had the Jays won a third title, then they would have bragging rights.
Very cool.
Had never heard that.
Delusional or just jealous?
