I bet it is 2 of those 3 and Auburn for the 30th year in a row, SMH.
But this mean no Thanksgiving in Vegas.

ESECPN swoops in to ruin everything.
Reading more, it sounds like this year it will be a bracket, vs predetermined 2 games.
Here is what our bracket could look like using last years KenPom rankings
If it is actually a bracket this year, I’d guess this is close, probably swap us and Florida and WVU and Rutgers, to avoid to Big12 on Big12 match ups.
I thought the Players Era Tournament was going to be a one-off for UH, but it has really grown and now attracts top tier teams.
It has definitely been a boost to UH’s national stature. The only thing left for UH to do is win it.
The Cougars have been know to show other D1 B12 teams look like scrimmages.
3 Big 12 teams in an 8 team bracket makes no sense
I’m not mad at it. The pool of 16 is definitely better, but for a new team trying to ramp things up, the 8 is more ideal. Get ready for the season with some early tests.
So far I’m not a big fan. Every year we come in with a new team and tend not to play well and leave the tournament 5 to 10 spots lower in rankings than where we started. And then the media spends the rest of the year trying to not let us live it down.
I’ve updated my Players ERA 8 bracketology
I would like to claim the title of the first-ever Players ERA bracketologist
One of the reasons Kelvin doesn’t schedule murderer’s row in the non-con is you don’t want new players to doubt the system and the culture.
I would not mind an early Kansas match up or a Florida rematch.
That’s not the short end. I prefer an easier matchup the 1st rd and moderate the 2nd and the high level battle on day three.
The pool of 16 is the weakest. Pool of 8 is where its at and gives them the opportunity to stay with their families.
Pool of 8 = 2xS16, 1xR32, 2xNIT, 2xCBC, 1x No Tourney

I could see them matching us up in Rd 1 with UNLV for some local kid storyline
8 of those 16 team didnt do anything. The remaining 8 are hoping they have a good year.
Regardless of the opponent, and God willing, we will be there to see the Houston Cougars vs whoever.
UH-LSU for the Toyota Center game
Confirmed or wish list?
