Will be very painful if we lose Arod to Utah

After (2) great seasons of BYU football. 23 wins last 2 yrs

The vultures start coming. Picking off a Coordinator here & there

Yalls defense was legit. Hopefully, can find another great DC.

Pls hire DC Shiel Wood away from TxTech.

Y’all are probably the only other school that can compete with them money-wise atm.

I think we have a lot of guys we can hire to coach the defense. I’m more worried about losing Arod

Looks like Freeman is staying at ND.

He wants to win a National Championship first, then ride off to the NFL.

Our new S&C coach hired.

That’s an interesting hire. I guess WF sees some untapped potential here, because he doesn’t have a great track record.

Yeah, Utah was terrible their first year in the Big 12…They went 2-7, including losing to us…

I’m not buying that it just happened to be coincidence that Whit retires from Utah and then Sherrone Moore loses his job so he gets hired by Michigan.

Oy, yes from Reddit reading AWFUL reputation.

Curious… what specifically is awful about his reputation from past stops…?

?? 7 years with Lincoln Riley. Maybe he’ll blossom at UH

Sounded like he was doing a good job… sometimes those big programs just want to see a coach make a change to their staff after a disappointing season…

Yea it seems really odd to let go of a non-gameday coach in the middle of a season and call it a ā€œfootball decision.ā€ Been reading mixed things about him on Twitter. One of the bad things was that he’s kind of a screamer and pushes guys too hard in weightlifting, essentially causing a plethora of injuries. I haven’t paid much attention to USC in a while. Have they had the injury bug while he’s been there?

I’ll bet on Willie that he did his homework on the guy

Me too… In Willie I Trust!

One thing my USC friends seem to agree on, and I have been hearing this for years, is that USC is ā€œtoo softā€. I hope UH Basketball S&C Coach Alan Bishop interviewed Wylie. If Coach Bishop gives him a thumbs up, welcome to the UH family Coach Wylie.

I’m not going to trash the guy that WF has apparently tapped. But if you want to know more about that, the info is out there. And high-level SC guys don’t typically end up coaching in Huntsville in the prime of their careers, though there are lots of reasons why that could have happened.

Mike Leach loved him at Tech, for sure.

Maybe this hire doesn’t work out but the ā€œsoftā€ label seems to be due to Lincoln Riley. USC was scared to tackle vs TCU in the Alamo bowl so haven’t gotten tougher. We’ve also seen the guy’s brisket.
