Is he running for office in Texas? Sounds like it.
Volatile mixture of psycho player and psycho coach.
Coaching style sounds a bit questionable but telling your player to go back home is not racist
That’s just a ridiculous stretch
It’s not akin to go back to Africa …that’s a generality a continent not a specific home country
Go back to your specific home country and leave my team is basically saying I don’t need you here anymore
If someone tells you to go back to Texas it’s not racist
It’s saying your way of doing things isn’t welcome here
Do it our way, our team culture or go away
I agree… I don’t think that’s racist in this specific context.
If he said it in the context of “We” don’t want you here in America…
Then I think it would be racist… but specifically telling a person to go back to their home because you don’t want them on the team is different imo.
“Nobody wants you here” after telling him to go back to the country he came from is a little different than saying “I don’t want you on the team.”
If he didn’t intend to bring race into it, he would have just said “leave and go home”.
And defending Musselman is generally bad business anyway. ![]()
Is the DR not his home…?
I agree it’s a bad look on Musselman… but I don’t think it fits the racist bill… and damn sure not anything that should be in court.
I took that to mean Nobody on the team wants you here… here meaning on the team…
Whether he’s actually from there or not, it means something different to say “go home” than it does to say what Musselman did, especially with the immigration rhetoric that flies around now.
And it absolutely belongs in court if they didn’t pay what they were obligated to pay and trashed the dude to the point where it impaired his ability to play somewhere else (and get paid). That’s the world we live in now. A manager talking to an employee like that would probably get fired.
I’m not saying he’ll win - don’t know enough about it. But Muss deserves to have to face the public scrutiny that will come from the court case. If it “doesn’t belong” in court, then it will get dismissed.
Why are you believing this article as fact? You are reading his side. The USC response is pretty clear.
At first glance I see a player that has been to three, four schools? I see this as a way of trying to recoup some NIL money.
Before you make any assumptions wait and read what happens.
Why do you assume to know what I believe? Before you make any assumptions and comment on the issues, just wait until it all gets resolved.
I’ve read what was available and commented on that. That’s how this works.
What we do know is that Muss is a d-bag.
This reads like an Onion article.
Sad news from the college basketball world. Spatola was Coach K’s SIL. I really liked him as an analyst.
How sad! I really enjoyed him also.
Prayers for his family. ![]()
John Feinstein’s The Last Amateurs documented a season in the non-scholarship Patriot League. Spatola was a point guard at Army at the time and was prominent in the book. So sad. Leaves behind a wife and 3 children. ![]()
Damn… died unexpectedly… very sad.
At some point someone will note that Diane hasn’t been practicing in full contact still and its not been noted anywhere as to why
Not in any practice clips
He is probably the one who needs it the most
Here’s Diane today in a post D breakdown drill.

Old TSU HC -Mike Davis the HC now.
“Mississippi Valley State basketball will play 14 straight nonconference away games to start the 2026-27 season and will earn close to $1 million total to give high-major outfits a tune-up”
So they will play 14 games in 52 days - all on the road - playing about once every 3 or 4 days.
So you do wonder what kind of a class schedule, if any, these new era collegiate/professional athletes have. I suppose they would have to take on-line classes with full-time tutor assistance.
14 days in two months? they might be missing class less often than I did as an undergrad. ![]()
