2026 Offers

I thought it was in Flagstaff? Damn, never mind.

That’s Northern Arizona U. Flagstaff is awesome. Western side of Phoenix (GCU) is not.

My wife works at NAU. Everyone is correct, it is an attractive campus.

I hope you’re right about it being a courtesy visit.

No insider information. Going off the fact no site shows he has an offer from GCU, GCU has only had one player drafted (back in the 70’s), and probably does not have the NIL, media exposure, nor facilities to attract a top 35 recruit having been in the WAC the past decade plus.

With the OV announced on such short notice it’s most likely a favor to coaches.

Do not sell GCU short. Their basketball teams have made the NCAA Tournament in 2021 and 2023-2025. The began playing Division I in 2013-2014 and became post-season eligible in 2017-2018.

They have accomplished a lot in the short time they have been competing.

GCU made the NCAA tournament all of those years by winning the WAC tournament and getting the auto bid, seeded 15, 14, 12, 13 respectively. Having a good record in a weak conference (avg conference net position is #16 of 31) can be misleading. GCU is 1-9 the past decade against the Top 25 regular season.

GCU has incredible fan support, especially from students. One of the better home environments in college hoops.

Talk about cash money
Dollar bills, y’all, c’mon now, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah

(For the love of money) people will steal from their mother
(For the love of money) people will rob their own brother
(For the love of money) people can’t even walk the streets
Because they never know who in the world they’re gonna beat
For that mean, oh mean, mean green
Almighty dollar, that money

(For the love of money) people will lie, Lord, they will cheat
(For the love of money) people don’t care who they hurt or beat
(For the love of money) a woman will sell her precious body
For a small piece of paper, it carries a lot of weight
For that mean, mean, mean, mean, mean green
Almighty dollar, talkin’ about, talkin’ about

Then they should do the same for pro players from overseas.

Is your argument to protect scholarships for US kids or is it a money thing?

Because there’s honestly not a lot of difference between the European basketball experience and the US experience (at an IMG or similar).

That’s my point. He was saying that Gleague players shouldn’t play college basketball.

I do not like the idea of players being to move from the G League to college, but this would be a big get if we can sign him. We need a 4th big for the 2nd half of the season and torunament.

Is this guy going to be eligible to play during the Spring semester?

Is he being pursued because of the McFarland ongoing leg injury problems?

If he plays at all this season doubt it will be very much. He could be a great addition for our practices this season and have him acclimated heading to next season.

Averaged 6 rebounds and 3 blocks in 18 MPG last season. With Tugler, Cenac, and Sakho gone after this season, I can see him pairing well with Diane next season and being the leader in the front court. Enrolling early is a big plus to learn the system and from Tugler.
