I saw on TOS that the top basketball recruit for 2026, Tyran Stokes, 6’7", 245 lbs., SF, from California, received an offer from UH September 2024. Has he visited and is there any interest on his part?

Did you move willingly?
Because you know the old saying….only two types of coaches….those that have been fired and those that will be fired.
Honestly, I don’t know enough about it to say one way or the other.
Bad situation and left
It happens.
When I was younger I was in a spot that I loved the school, the coaches I worked with, the kids, etc.
Head coach retired unexpectedly……instead of promoting either one of the coordinators ( which would have both been good choices).
But district outsmarted themselves and hired a former O-line coach from California……horrible fit.
Big browbeater of coaches and players….well as you know, players do not want to see someone talk down to their position coach……anyway, we had gone 8-9 years straight with at least 8-10 wins….this guy was canned after three seasons where the best record was 5-5.
Next guy came in and cleaned house….several great coaches left scrambling because of one bad hire.
So I get it.
