Can’t tell you high I am on Makhi. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he ends up being one of the best RBs in the big 12.
I didn’t realize there are so many transfers on the defense… I am generally hesitant to be high on heavy transfer teams, but I think Fritz defenses are just so good that I’m not worried

If you are referring to college football running back Makhi Hughes (who transferred to Houston for the 2026 season after redshirting the 2025 season at Oregon), yes, he has two years of eligibility remaining entering the 2026 season. [1, 2]
Under the NCAA Eligibility Center guidelines and structural shifts moving toward age-based and five-season models, his medical redshirt from 2022 at Tulane and his preserved redshirt year from 2025 leave him with both the 2026 and 2027 seasons intact. [1, 2]
However, there’s also a good chance he’ll be drafted. Right now, he projects as a “free agent”, but with 1,000 yard season in the Big12, he’ll be drafted. If he has another 1,400 yard season, he’ll probably be drafted in the first 3 rounds.
Regarding Johnny Hebert, He’ll see the field this fall in some capacity IMO.
