Yes, Utah plays in Salt Lake City at Rice-Ecckles stadium. He was talking about Ft. Riley, which is located in the little town of Odgen, KS and it is also just a very short drive from KState University.
The confusion is probably because Ogden, Utah is much bigger and more well known lol.
I’ve been to KState for basketball. Aggieville is really cool, it’s just a little campustown mainstreet. Manhattan and Ames are notoriously similar towns, tho Manhattan is even considerably more off the beaten path than Ames is, location-wise. If you can believe that.
IME, all KStaters i’ve ever encountered are nothing but friendly and welcoming people. You literally can’t go more than 100 yards or so without people welcoming you and even thanking you for visiting. And we are fairly bitter rivals, so that context speaks highly of them for sure.
Highly recommend. It’s probably a good 2 or even 2.5 hrs from the airport tho IIRC, so keep that in mind when planning. And there’s tolls, they aren’t bad tho.
The Flint Hills are also worth taking a short hike thru @BYUcougarfan imo, but our BYU friends and and also Colorado set that bar pretty high as far as natural beauty goes.

We drove up to the Kansas State game from Houston three years ago. You are right about the people, they were all very friendly. We enjoyed Aggieville about as much as one could after getting your butt whipped 41-0.

Since Utah’s colors are red, I figure a visiting UH fan needs to wear the secondary colors for contrast.
One of my kids is in grad school at Utah. Good excuse for me to go visit him!
