I guess perhaps he thought the ball was hit on the ground and it bounced up?
How could he, it was covered? He could have gotten up and touched it since the ball went into the outfield.
Hindsight is 20/20 but wish we never sent Clime home, had a bad read off the bat and no chance to score there. Oh well, hopefully a clean inning here and can get back to the plate.
At least they tied it.

I just saw the replay of the runner on the bunt. I mean what the hell was he thinking? He was a good three feet short of the bag when he slid into the fielder. I assume the third base coach had to of been yelling for him to comeback unless he took his eyes off the runner to watch the ball.
Did we hire some new assistants this year? Last year, one of our players was the 1st base coach.
