Based on this, I think football ticket prices for Houston might be too high.

Actually, disregard. I saw a different seating chart for football than the actual chart

There it is. I knew there was a catch somewhere. Those are really nice seats though!

Thanks for the reminder of the price. That’s why I didn’t do it. :sunglasses:

Fertitta Center was still in the construction period at that time. Those donations went a long way in helping secure the financing of FC.

It is. You have to pay an initial per-seat license, then pay for the tics and yearly donation.

I did the chairbacks and have never looked back. One of my best purchases ever at a very fair contribution level per ticket.

Same. I love my seats in 115, but do wish I could move to an aisle at some point.

So what the difference in seat fee and donation?

My seat fee went down $50 while the donation up $150.

It has to be for internal accounting reasons.

The seat fee pays for operational costs (facilities, coaching staff, marketing, etc.) The donation goes to Cougar Pride whose primary mission is to fundraise for athletic scholarships.

I think the decrease in seat cost and increase in donation requirement is due to the new scholarship limits across sports. Quick glance the new pricing chart this year it may be a $1M+ increase in funding to CP from last year, so 15-20 scholarships.

I bet it also goes to paying that $20 million, or would that be other funds?

Annual seat donation requirements and unrestricted donations go to the annual fund which is for scholarships across the 17 programs. There are separate giving programs for capital campaigns. The one-time premium seat license for club/floor seats goes towards the Fertitta Center debt obligation.

The seat PSL is payable upfront or in 5-year installment. This is in addition to annual ticket costs (seat + donation). $10K for the right to buy a club seat, $20K for two, etc…

Major capital projects are paid for through donations and bonds. The debt obligation I was referring to was the $60M or so to renovate the Center. I believe Tilman donated $20M for the naming rights; not sure how much was paid via additional donations/PSL vs bond issuance.

Couldn’t afford - ended up getting priority chair backs at 2.5k per seat.

But they let you pay over the course of 5 years for any seat donation-

I think football season tix holders should get priority…

With the number of football no-shows we see - not a chance.

So, to transfer from say Sideline Chairback Season Tickets to any section listed as “Luxury Seating”, there is a “seat licensing fee” in addition to the pricing referenced on the Chart in this thread? Is that correct?

Yea when you contact your ticket rep - I’m not sure if they went up from before but 4 years ago was 10k for club and 2.5k for my priority chair back - per seat!

Wow, was the PC that expensive? Guess I forgot with the payment program. Maybe on purpose. :sunglasses:

Thanks for info. My Ticket Rep called me back. To move over in the Priority Chairbacks, in addition to the seat and CP donation, it’s $2,500.00 per seat in first 10 rows, $1,000.00 per seat in rows 11-22 and no additional for seats in rows higher than 22. Any of the “Luxury Seating” additional fees are more than I want to deal with.

Just a heads up, if you intend on using a different payment method from last year and want to do installments (can do 5 installments now), you will have to call CP or the ticket office to renew and set up the installments.

Website does not allow you to select installments with a new payment method and requests you pay in full. Simple functionality fixes for the front end of the site could go a long way.
