Very disappointing. This team didnt commit turnovers & made big stops defensively. Not uber talented, but executed

We have TWO Conference losses now
In terms of potentially making it to the CCG, I believe it is. However, this season has still be a success. We will likely be playing in a satisfactory bowl game. Perhaps vs. Vandy?

The only thing that matters is making the REAL playoff.
The other bowls are participation trophies for recruiting but you can NOT win a National Championship with those bowls.

If your expectations are CCG in football every year then you should quit being a Coog.
We have a lot to play for. I want a bowl win over a decent team. I’d love 11-2. I’d be happy with 10-3. 9-4 and a top 25 ranking would be awesome.

If your expectation for this season was serious conference title contention, that was pretty badly misplaced. We’re in year 2 of rebuilding a team that was one of the worst teams in the Big 12 with one of the brokest Athletic Departments in the P4. We have some work ahead of us yet.

There are many things to point fingers at for this game on offense, defense, and special teams.

We don’t control our destiny at this point, but it is still not out of the picture.
- We cannot lose another game. Big ask, but it’s still possible.
- We need Kansas State to win today over Texas Tech, which is possible given Tech’s injuries and Kansas State’s resurgence.
- We essentially need Cincy to win out
- BYU has to lose to Tech and Cincy
This season was never about winning a conference championship.
This is year 2 of the rebuild and while it sucks to lose we still have a lot of building to do and the ranking showed we are headed in the right direction

That would be Tech and Cincy in the CCG, no?
No because Tech would have 3 losses at that point, and UH would only have 2.
Tech’s losses would be Arizona State, Kansas State, and hopefully… BYU (who is coming off a bye week when they play Tech.
We need Cincy to win out. We need BYU to lose to Tech and Cincy.
As i said, we don’t control our destiny anymore, but the path is not totally GONE. We need luck on our side no doubt, but it’s still a possibility.
How does Tech lose to BYU while also beating BYU?

CCG was never in my cards. For me, 6-6 was fine. 8 wins is a success.
