I would say 25% or so, I sit in 131, maybe 10-15% of people in my section were Cougar fans, the rest were Tech fans that got cheap tickets at Costco or bought on the secondary market.

Yep. Matter of fact Colorado was louder than Tech.

Seemed like more people there than vs TexasSux two years ago.

Let me show you my math

42,806 total fans
10,000 approximate students ALL UH fans
32,806 regular fans
roughly 1/3 of regular fans were Tech fans = 10,826
10,926/42,806 =25%
My guess would be between 25%-30% were Tech fans.

Based upon the way the first 3 games have gone and with a schedule of Arizona (Homecoming), WVU and TCU left, as long as we get favorable game times, I think we can break the student attendance record. I don’t know what the record is but I feel it in my gut.

Edit: With an 11am Homecoming game… no chance.

I don’t know that I’d go quite that far. Colorado wasn’t super loud either.

So we’ve had:

SFA: 28,150
Colorado: 37,899
TTU: 42,806

Which gives us an average of 36,285 with 3 games to go. Remaining games against Arizona, WVU, and TCU. Highest UH attendance seasons that I know of are 2016 (38,953) and 2023 (36,020). We’d need to average close to 42k a game for our remaining games to top 2016 but beating 2023’s mark should be doable.

I don’t attend many games anymore but I noticed a bunch of people having a great time at a football game. The “Sweet Caroline” sing-a-long was a big hit with TT and UH fans, as was the baby cam. I heard there was one fight (in the student section of all places) but I didn’t notice any disrespect between fans at the stadium or on the train. The weather was almost perfect for the game too. Huge success from a fan standpoint. Too bad UH offense was so bad.

There was at least two fights. The student fight you mentioned and a fight between two girls in section 129. Food and a lot of hair pulling was involved.

There were 3 fights in the student section and all were late 3rd quarter.

View from the south side at kickoff:

Students were late to class:

But they eventually arrived:

Who can say how many Tech fans were there? There was not a ton of blue on the North side. I was surrounded by Tech fans on the South side. End zones were likely 95% Coogs. I’ll guess 30-35% Tech fans but who cares. It was a great atmosphere!

STUDENTS attending is, IMHO, the MOST important number for the future of UH football.

I say it all the time on here, but Millennial, Gen Z and in the near future, Generation Alpha Coogs will be the most rabbid this university has ever seen.

The main thanks goes to Tilman Fertitta, Renu Khator, Case Keenum, Greg Ward Jr, Kelvin Sampson and yes even Tom Herman for making UH a place we came to because we wanted to, not because we had to.

Got one where there was a 6-7 man pileup in the 3rd. Then the cops came in and arrested the guy who started it

Show me the numbers !!!

It’s not just about spending $20. It’s a silly and unnecessary distraction.

I doubt MBB will wear it again. I’m pretty sure I never will ever again either.

Here is 6:34 left in the first

Eh - I have season tickets and I live in Dallas. Hard for me to make every game. Totally understand selling your tickets, but do it not on SeatGeek.

I always try and sell mine on that trash Facebook page Coogs House or whatever. That is, when they unban me and then they ban me again for calling someone a knucklehead.
