No one seemed to believe that SEC football was really vanilla offenses instead of NFL defenses so we get to claim good defense.

Interesting that an ESPN analyst put that stat out there just hours after Sampson’s comments on the Zoom call

With limited OOC games I do think that stat has something to do with the shooting in this league.

Maybe it has to do with the coaching in this league

Should be a small peek into how we might handle the tall Big10 teams who have a seemingly endless supply of really tall bigs.

Hope you are kidding? USF wouldn’t win a game in the Big 10 or Big 12.
This along with the rest of our regular season games are must wins for our Coogs.
Terrible losses in conference gives us little to no wiggle room the rest of the way.

I wonder how many rebounds per game Gorham would have if he were 7’ tall like Michael Durr?

They would not be competitive in the Big or little but saying they wouldn’t win a game is a stretch.
They could beat KSU and ISU.
Possibly a couple home upsets as well

Iowa State has two wins (both SWAC teams). K State lost to Fort Hays. Nebraska is horrible. Northwestern is meh. TCU is beatable. Stop being ridiculous and feeding the P5 narrative.

Not sure if you guys are getting your panties in a wad over my post
if you are, you need to relax, seriously.

At some point during our March march, we will almost inevitably end up going up against a Big10 team that will definitely have more size than any team we’ve faced this season. USF, with the trio of big men that @pesik listed, will provide a similar experience. This is good exposure to see how well our team will handle this type of matchup.

And of course, we could run into the same situation with Baylor, Gonzaga or any other program from any particular conference. The Big10 has a number of schools that always attract big, stocky, difficult-to-play-against post players. We do not see many of those in the AAC
if we do, it’s usually only one at a time. This fact is absolutely in no way endorsing a P5 narrative. Take your beta blockers and try to enjoy your afternoon.
