Voted on by the league’s coaches based off conference-only statistics, the Cougars took home their first two major awards as a member of The American as Miller (first base) and James (second base) were joined on the all-conference first team by sophomores Maya Thomas (outfield) and Savannah Heebner (utility/pitcher). Houston led all teams with four players on the first team.

Houston’s four first-team selections are the most for the program as a member of The American. The quartet of first-team honorees also ties for the most in program history. In 2008, Jennifer Klinkert (infield), Angel Shamblin (pitcher), Laurie Wagner (outfield) and Jessica Valis (infield) were tabbed to the Conference USA First Team.
