Abbie Jackson Named The American Offensive Player of the Week

She’s been killing it as of late

The award marks the first conference accolade of her, becoming the first player to receive a conference weekly accolade for the Cougars since Brookah Palmer in 2015. Jackson is also the first rookie to win the honor since Maria Mallon of Cincinnati on Oct. 1, 2018.

On the week, Jackson paced the Houston offense, leading the Cougars to a 4-0 record, having averaged 5.44 kills per set. In her 16 sets played, Jackson also posted a team-best 97.5 points and nine service aces.
