After Midnight

The 2nd amendment never mentions guns as a individual right. It doesn’t say they are for individual defense, it explicitly says for the defense of the state.

It also happens when enough people choose to do nothing because it doesnt affect them, until it is too late and does.

As crazy and extreme as these politicians may be, what is scary is that millions support, donate and vote to keep them in office.

My point is that The Constitution means what SCOTUS says it means.

True its just anazing their interpretation has nothing to do with the actual words in the amendment.

This take is exactly wrong.

The leftists are the “Nazis”, in both the metaphorical and literal sense. If you know what a Nazi is, which is a national socialist… There’s no such thing as a right-wing socialist. Those don’t exist. It’s not possible for them to exist. Socialism is leftist ideology by definition. Look up the Nazi platform if you need a refresher.

And it’s the leftists who view their politics as religion, because 80% of them are godless, by their own admission. Saw that in a CNN poll more than 20 years ago. It’s not like they’ve found Jesus since then (or Allah, or Shiva, Buddha, or anything else). Politics is God to the leftist because it’s all they have, since they don’t believe in anything else.

The “right-wingers” are correctly afraid of the leftist because the leftists literally hate them. I give the leftists credit, at least they’re honest about it.

Anybody who knows anything about American politics, which isn’t very many people, knows that American “liberalism” has been corrupted by godless European leftist-ism, literally since the 1920s. There is nothing “American” about European leftist socialism, Nazis or Soviet-style socialism (Today’s American left embodies both).

And none of it is the slightest bit “right-wing,” “conservative” or “Republican”. And anybody who knows what any of those words means would know that.

But America has fundementally devolved into a nation of people who think they know politics because they consume pre-packaged narratives and think they’re smart when they spit back up what other people told them to say.

Only in America can a guy who has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Clintons, Schumer, Pelosi, and the Democrat Party run around calling himself a “conservative” and a “Republican,” while the true national socialists in the US are busy destroying institutions… Families, gender roles, schools, churches…etc etc.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Wrong. It says “a free state” not the. Individuals make up militias and therefore individuals have a right to own guns. And that right is not limited only to having a gun to participate in a militia should the need arise.

It’s not hard… Some of you people benefit from the freedom to be ignorant. You don’t even know the how or why behind how your nation was conceived, what freedom actually is, why it is, or how to keep it.

Some of you guys are the embodiment of why the founders would only let the people vote for Representatives, while the rest of the federal government was chosen by the State Legislatures or a slate of electors. Turns out the founders were pretty damned smart.

Show me real data please on the 80% godless.

So long as the lights stay on and cable/dish/internet stays connected, most voting age adults don’t care who is in charge until none of those things work. We are in for a long stretch of actual political repression (not the banned from FB type) and plenty of civic violence because so many have scores to settle.

Just like school shootings don’t galvanize the public sufficiently to enact gun control laws, only those directly effected will object to the new regime. Go to work, pay the bills, drop the kids off at the single-door schoolhouse. Life goes on and so does Netflix, which is really what matters after all.

xDC, I’m one of the godless. Never been arrested, always paid my taxes, served in the Army, don’t run red lights. Be hard to qualify me as a leftist, and though most adults are unchurched these days (yet still hold religious beliefs), I belong to a small minority as an atheist, which most surveys show as under 10% of the population. Something wrong with your CNN numbers.

Why does it say militia instead of individual right? If its for individual defense why does it say state? Why do the words not match the interpretation.

Yikes ! Doom and gloom on sunny Sunday morning.

This new xDC fella seems to fit the future you speak of.

If BLM goes militant and the Hispanic community develops a like armed organization, we are toast.

We had our chance to get 1A and 2A interpreted constructively, but window may have closed.

White evangelicals will have had a big hand in this downfall.

Did you know that “Nazi” is short for “National Socialist”? That means that Hitler and his henchmen were all socialists. Bernie Sanders calls himself a socialist, too. That means Bernie Sanders and his supporters are the same as Nazis … doesn’t it?

There is only one problem: This argument is untrue. Although the Nazis did pursue a level of government intervention in the economy that would shock doctrinaire free marketeers, their “socialism” was at best a secondary element in their appeal. Indeed, most supporters of Nazism embraced the party precisely because they saw it as an enemy of and an alternative to the political left.

There is a reason the founding fathers wanted a separation of church and state. When you-think your politics were ordained from God, you stop compromising. Our whole system was meant to be messy and filled with compromise and no one walking away happy. The Founding Fathers were convinced that unchecked governments tend towards despotism. They are right. The checks are in place for a reason.

After January 6, how can anyone feel ok about anything. The peaceful transition of power is a bedrock of our country. Our greatest presidents walked away from power. It is what made them great.

Yet there are people out there supporting the unabashed unrestrained desire for power. It is crazy to me.

I get it that the wealthy donate to both sides, simultaneously at times, to maintain influence.

I guess I don’t consume enough media or read
