AI is making us dumber. Well it did these doctors…
The researchers found that doctors who gave colonoscopies without AI after having its assistance available saw their detection rates drop, producing outcomes 20% worse than what they were before AI was introduced.
How many of you will be asking about if your next colonoscopy is AI assisted or not?
Because as I’ve said in previous posts, AI is a massive consumer of energy.
I also struggle to understand how these AI technologies are going to be scaled at a profitable level.
Does this guy have anything new to contribute?
Interesting result for sure. It was done Poland.
And embedded link trashes both ChatGPT and Grok on the Rs .
Maybe.
Or just a general question to your PCP or any specialist, “ Do you use AI tools
at all in your diagnosis or prescription recommendations ?”
I bet the docs will be offended ![]()
I don’t see why any would be offended.
Sam Altman is essentially learning from his predecessors, such as Sam Bankman-fried.
He is giving just enough optimism to sustain investors, but he’s also showing some elements of disingenuous-humbleness to make it seem like he’s not overselling his product. He also uses scare tactics, because the investor class loves when the general public is afraid of technology.
But if you actually watch Sam Altman interviews, he clearly has no idea what he’s talking about. Just says a whole lot of nothing.
Sam Bankman-Fried, Elizabeth Holmes, etc… are all people that oversold their product, sold a fake product, and/or were leading companies that were never realistically going to be sustained.
Just merely looking at the product that OpenAI is largely relying on, ChatGPT, I just don’t see the day it will ever be profitable unless they change their business model, or they reach AGI.
The only companies that will be able to profit are companies like Google, who are implementing their LLMs into their entire ecosystem, which is profitable because it incorporates advertisements.
But OpenAI is the one who essentially pioneered the LLM, so that’s the tough part.
Yea, I’m sure medication profiles are probably best checked by AI.
Oh boy, here we go again, fixated on a CEO instead of the product. Typical.
You not receive attention as a child?
You need your opinions heard that badly by random users on the internet?
Are you f’n kidding me? This is a chat room. If you post some BS, of course people can call you out on it. GTFO.
You didn’t answer my question
Why don’t you want people having the ability to put you on ignore?
Please put me on your ignore list. Please. I wouldn’t be bothered one bit. Thought you already did.
I can’t because your profile is hidden lol
Some docs have such a God complex going on.
I think criticizing the hype cycles generated by the CEO of a company that produces a product is fair, especially when his company has been caught obfuscating and overstating data to make his product look better than it is.
Turns out, you don’t need a button to be able to ignore people.
And the irony of this line must be called out,
“You need your opinions heard that badly by random users on the internet?”
Knock Chatgpt all you guys want, saying it won’t make a profit, but looking just at the sheer number of users and clicks it gets, how can it not make money?
More than 45% of its users are under the age of 25.
