There are more Samoans in Southern California than there are in Samoa. Cheaper flight. And, we are recruiting a kid from Channelview. Not sure what Polynesian island his people come from. Maybe Samoa but there are Tongans in the US too. (edit) And it’s pronounced Pa-u-la. Don’t call him Paula, at least not to his face.

There is an important Samoan community in Oceanside, CA. The most famous football player of Samoan origin was JUNIOR SEAU, RIP Junior.

There is a huge Tongan community in the DFW area at Euless Trinity HS. Most of them work at the airport. Haka 24/7.

He might be Tongan then. I one of his videos he mentions he was from Euliss and the family moved to Channelview last year.
