Be wary of someone who offers a simple answer to a complex issue…not directed at Norbert.
RT is right, there is way more discipline now and they will just stop drilling if it means losing money.
Data from the Bureau of Land Management shows that President Joe approved more oil and gas drilling permits in his first two years in office than former President.
But a permit is just that, it could be ten years before they decide to go forward and market conditions are a key factor.
I read several articles about how certain goods “might” disappear from our shelves.
Also read about possible price hikes on various items. CNET and others cover that.
I read through many lists and saw that we regularly buy only one of these import items. Coffee. And coffee already has doubled in the past year with no new tariffs. Because of its ridiculous cost we have cut back on drinking coffee. Not very difficult.
All the other imports I reviewed we already have. The most prominent item is Cell Phones. We have 2, they work fine, do not need a new one. Literally everything I saw we have or do not need and won’t be buying.
Our 3 biggest monthly costs: Housing, Food, and Utilities. Only food contains imports and our choices are within our control. And if food rots on the shelves of HEB because people won’t pay certain prices HEB will do something about it. In the meantime we substitute Broccoli for Asparagus when the latter gets too high. Or whatever. Our total monthly costs vary little.
I suspect the methods being used to NEGOTIATE will be very effective.
What is going mods?
You told everybody you took out the political board and what do we have?
Multiple T…p political hit pieces every single day.
There is not one single publication that is today independent from big donors. Be the WSJ, Newsweek or others. When publications are owned by worldwide mega companies there is no longer independent journalism.
Bezos going after a certain individual and owning the NY Times made it very useful for his message.
Might?
Might?
Unnamed sources…
Come on mods. You either have a political board or you do not. You can;t let posters post political hit pieces.
Gracias.
Not sure which lists you were looking at but most I’ve seen have been more like top 10 lists or highlighting some things most use. They are hardly comprehensive.
Make no mistake, most things you buy will be impacted directly or indirectly. If a product isn’t directly hit by a tariff, there’s a good chance some of its components or parts will be. This is true in manufacturing (cars are a good example) but even in farming (e.g. we get certain types of fertilizer outside the US). Then there is the likelihood that rising prices on foreign products causing US manufacturers to raise their prices too.
We will all be impacted by tariffs. You may think it’s worth it but you won’t escape the pinch if a deal isn’t done soon.
You, yes you rtcoog told us to refrain from posting political articles.
Do I need to mention what was in the previous paragraph?
Let’s do since you are as disingenuous as you can be:
The National Enquirer would be proud. Let’s set everything on fire so the public can rebel against you know who.
Yeah everyone this article is not political at all. rtcoog said so. Therefore there is nothing to see here.
