An Astonishing Road Win!

So. This one is me projecting a bit. This is Emanuel’s first time with real action in like 2 years.

Sasser is elite defensively.

I think I’ll walk that one back. lol

I always said Sasser was going to be an All-American. Even when he was a freshman.

Sharp just gives this team something 2021 didn’t have. Shooting off of the bench. And points in a hurry. Francis per 40 numbers are absolutely insane. And his efficiency is through the roof. TA needs to get more aggressive. Chaney is Chaney. And him being our 8th man. Or maybe 9th. Just something we couldn’t do in 2021.

I have never seen improvement from a front court guy from one year to the next like I have seen with J’Wan. J’Wan’s TS percentage is damn near 70%. Averaging 10 points a game with Sasser, Shead, Mark, Walker, Sharp, TA. Insane to me. Still productive on the glass. 7 rebounds a game. His per 40 is 15 and 12. He just gives this team another dimension that 2021 didn’t have at the 5 spot.

We are aligned on the big picture… this team will be the best of our recent teams. The scary thought is we will be that I think we will be having this conversation annually over the next few years… This team will stay elite for a while.

*Current Sasser vs 2021 Grimes. Grimes

*Current Mark vs 2021 Sasser. Tie. Or lean Mark

*Current Shead vs 2021 Jarreau Tie. Or lean Deeky

The 3 guard spots pretty much even

*Current Jarace vs 2021 Gorham Love Gorham, but gotta go Jarace. Jarace has the ability to drop 20 on a good team.

*Current Jwan vs 2021 Gresham Jwan

So post players and better bench, give this team the edge over 2021

The foundation is solid to build upon for next season.

Shead, Mark, Roberts, Sharp, TA, Francis, Mylik Wilson, and JoJo Tugler.

That can be a hell of an 8 man rotation.

And then, we have to remember. Ced Lath gets to campus next month. And we still want Dedan Thomas to reclassify to 2023.

That would be such a strong 10 man unit.

And do not forget 4-star guard Kordelius Jefferson and 4-star 6-10 post Jacob MacFarland… wow we are gonna be fun next year too!

Deeky easily… What does Shead do better than Deeky right now?

 hmmm, good question

I do prefer Sheads passing over Deeky. At times Jarreau danced a little bit too much with the ball, over dribbling

But i think scoring wise, you’re probably right Jarreau could do more. Vs Memphis in 2021 in particular

Shead for his size, his floater game still isnt all the way consistent. And his 3pt shot, still work in progress

I can agree with this. Deeky was a good passer but would play around sometimes.

Not a prediction but I could see Jarace returning for next season.

His game is not developed as much as some seem to think. Especially around the basket. Sometimes he disappears, and can lose his man on defense.

NBA scouts will call the shots on this. Again, not a prediction but a possibility.

If he does return next season’s team will be unreal. Probably our greatest, even ahead of this one.

I agree, Sampson even said if he stays 2-3 years he will be a monster when he comes out.

Toss up.

Shead is ultimate field general with his passing and Mr. Clutch when it matters… example Alabama this year and OSU last year. He just makes big plays…not a stats guy.

@kzappa Oklahoma St, i gotcha.

Also Illinois and Arizona. Shead stepped up in those games also

I like Shead too and think he is a great college pg but we can’t forget how good Deeky was. Shead’s NCAA tourney run last year was elite. Deeky pushing through injury against Rutgers was as well.

Junior Jarreau or Senior J. We have not seen senior Shead yet . . . . .

@Idanceblroom this years Shead vs senior year Jarreau, was the question

I think defense, taking care of the ball Shead has gotten better compared to last year

But offensively, i agree with @pesik. Shead doesn’t have as many tools in the toolbox as Jarreau did.

Whistle on Twitter: ““Ma! I told you I was gonna play! I’m a savage!” DeJon Jarreau is a legend (@marchmadness) https://t.co/no0z2MIpKU” / Twitter

As much as I love watching Dejon saying I’m a savage, I also enjoy Tramon’s reactions to Dejon.

Tramon Mark is becoming Clyde 2.0.

Similar size, mannerism and athleticism, and that’s a good thing.

This team is really good but before everyone faints from excitement, UH has played 2 highly ranked teams, Virginia and Alabama, and is 1-1. Juz sayin…

Should have beaten Alabama but you can’t win them all. Alabama has shown team the best way to attack our.monster defense on the bigs though.
