Once he develops some actual offensive footwork in the paint, he’ll be unguardable at the college level, but I agree that he needs some outside game to really move up the draft board.

In the championship game, Jo Jo only played 16 minutes and ultimately fouled out. Florida scored 16 points in those 16 minutes. In the other 24 minutes, FL scored 49 points. Ouch!

Some of those minutes were when Tug & Francis were out to be fair…

Tugler returning next year is so huge. Could you imagine losing 3 excellent experienced bigs Roberts, Tugler and Francis all in one offseason? Tugler anchors the #1 Defense in the country and makes guys think twice about trying to lay a shot up anywhere close to the basket. Going to be fun watching our bigs operate again next year.
Imagine playing Houston’s defense as it already is and then realizing they now have 3 bigs that are all nearly 7 feet tall and then combine that with little old 6’8 JoJo Tugler blocking your crap into the stands with his freakishly long 7’6 wingspan
I personally thought returning Tugler next year would be more important to us than returning Milos and at times I was worried we could lose both of them this off-season so it’s awesome news that we have at least 1 returning so far. Hoping for good news from Sharp, Milos and a few others in the coming weeks/months but knowing Tugler will be anchoring our defense next year really raises our floor next year IMO
