BOB against HOLGO, probably ends in a tie.
Oh yes, the obligatory “How is this connected to UH football?”
It’s a lot easier for QBs to look good at Bama and Ohio State when they are playing behind an OL made up of 5 star linemen and throwing to 5 star receivers. I wonder how they would have done on average teams.
To be fair, Tune is part of this convo.
Couldn’t agree with you more! We all have seen how those top-rated Ohio State QB’s turned out once they have made it in the NFL! Despite many Ohio State QB’s being drafted within the top 10 picks I couldn’t think of a single Ohio State QB within the last 3 decades that has turned out great in the NFL. But there are numerous terrific O-Linemen from Ohio State that have played in the NFL over the years though!
I personally hope the NFL collapses like the Argentine financial system. But hearing Tune is rated that highly by a knowledgeable analyst gets me excited. I would love for him to have a great career and reap the rewards of hard work.
Richardson has incredible measurements, but could be anything between Vince Young and Jalen Hurts. I liked what I saw from Young and Stroud in the championship games with them being able to avoid pressure moving around in the pocket and extending plays with their feet. Young, while smaller in stature, seems to have the highest floor since he generally does not have bad games.
I like the idea of bringing in Carr and drafting a Herndon or maybe Richardson in the 3-4 round so you get best available at the first three picks - maybe defensive lineman, WR, RB.
The only game I saw Richardson in this year he was not very impressive, and I think that was the week after he threw the interception in the end zone to seal the Utah win.
Tua and Hurts have both done well in the NFL, but prior to them, the last Alabama QB to really do well in the NFL was Kenny Stabler and before him Joe Namath. Of course the best ever Bama QB in the pros was Bart Star.
I am thinking that some team will draft Tune and he will end up with a long NFL career.
3 guys in a bar rescued the Argentine financial system. Most likely 3 guys from a fantasy football league would rescue the NFL. And one of those dude’s team name is ‘Sherlock Mahomes’.
I don’t think Richardson would make it past the 1st round and frankly Herndon would probably be gone too by the end of the 2nd round. I like both Young and Stroud as well, but I simply like Richardson a little more, mainly due to his size and toughness that I feel the other two guys can’t compare with. In many ways Richardson looks like a bigger version of Young, which is the reason why I feel more confident picking him over Young. Being a small QB does make Young more vulnerable to injuries, especially seriously injuries. Young has more potential than Stroud, but his size is a legitimate concern since in the NFL QB’s have to be able to take big hits because many teams want to take opposing team’s QB’s out of the game by delivering a devastating blow to them, even legal blows could take a QB out quite easily. All things said, I wouldn’t mind the Texans picking either Richardson or Young, especially if they could get Richardson with their 12th pick, this would allow the Texans to use their 2nd pick to pick the best player available beside the QB position.
If Tune has a successful long career in the NFL I would be ecstatic for him! Not only because I think his is a fine young man, but also it would put UH in a very positive light for future recruits to see!
Why you don’t like the NFL? Is it because its games are rigged? Many of them anyway.
I don’t mind the games. I despise the 24/7 analysis and the pulsating barnacles that attach themselves to the sport and spout platitudes on TV about every step these people take.
Oh, and its rigged.
So you simply hate the talking-heads and the know-it-alls like Stephen A Smith and the expert analysts. Can’t blame you one bit!
Good lord Jesse.
You are KING of the “Dad Jokes”.
Well when you’re old all you have is corny jokes in your pocket. Unbelievable nobody liked my joke. Da… da…
There’s only one response to someone when they call you the ‘King of Dad Jokes’.
You simply say “That’s how eye roll.”
They ruin it.
The only certainty is the Texans will screw it up…they always do…
