However, the Nakba is pure revisionist history. The Arabs were urged to stay and become Israeli citizens. The Arab leaders forced the Arab evacuations and were told they would be able to return after they defeat Israel in the war. So the real Nakba or catastrophy was that the Arabs lost the war.
