Crucial point Chris. The only way to eradicate/lessen Antisemitism is to have an history high school/Middle dedicated curriculum on the subject. This puts all schools, public or private responsible that Antisemitism is not acceptable at any age.

A history lesson would be wonderful. But, nobody in the schools want to do it (in my experience). I have a very good friend who teaches 5th grade in Queens, NY. They don’t teach the Holocaust at her school.
My son was the victim of anti-Semitism in middle school in Fort Bend ISD. I told the story in the first anti-Semitism thread. Long story short, they did the Hitler salute, said Heil Hitler, did a mock conversion to Christianity, and told him he was going to hell for being Jewish.
It took weeks for the attackers to be punished. The school and district did absolutely nothing. I offered to bring in a Holocaust survivor to speak at the school. I offered to take the entire class to the Holocaust Museum here in Houston. I was told “yes” on both offers, but they found excuse after excuse to not follow through.
I’ve been told for years that the best way to stop racism, anti-Semitism, etc. is through education. In my case, in my district, they aren’t willing to educate. Thankfully, my son only has 1 year left.

Schools need to teach history of the atrocities of the Holocaust; but schools need
stay away from any religious teachings or endorsements. That’s what Saturday and Sundays are for. Sorry your son had to confront that stuff in school.

Recall at what grade levels, and about how long ago this was, and was this at a public or private schools ?

Some schools probably do teach the subject; he’s just trying to find out which one(s).
At my private high school, St. John’s, we definitely learned about the Holocaust in the late 80s.
Can’t speak for every school of course…much less any K-12 school today.
Hell, I remember learning about the Holocaust in HISD junior high as well.
Ya know, it’s funny. Candace Owens was considered a big right-wing pundit and right-wing wacko by some…and I hear her making the same anti-Israel complaints that I hear you make.

Huh ? Sorry, didn’t mean to rattle you; just seeking info. Yeah, I’ve got kids in public school ( multiple grades) and was curious. The 9th grader read a novel based on the Holocaust this past year in english class. For history they’ve only gotten up to the industrial revolution. Much time in history dedicated to Texas history…which is probably unusual compared to other states.

I do NOT consider DemocracyNow! to be anything close to an objective, credible source.
In fact, I consider that to be a left-wing version of One America News; it’s further to the Left than Fox is to the right.
I would take anything I hear there with a HUGE grain of salt.
In any event, I hear some right-wing nutjobs like Candace Owens saying similar things. I consider both of those extremes to be non-credible and would not put much stock in either one.
One thing that might surprise you. This my favorite radio station.
It’s my college radio station. One of the last of the truly freeform, non-commercial variety college radio venues left on the FM dial (UH has a station on the FM dial, but it’s an all NPR News/Talk affiliate); likewise, most other college stations are either commercial, public radio, or if they are freeform non-commercial college variety like this one, they don’t broadcast at 15K watts.
I still give this station money every year during their annual telethon, and regularly listen to archived broadcasts during my long morning and evening commutes; DM me offline and I’ll recommend some of the better shows, so that you can try them as well.
They broadcast “DemocracyNow!” every weekday at 4:00PM Eastern time, 3:00PM Central, so I’ve listened to it several times. That was my first exposure to Amy Goodman and her left-wing pontificating on that show. I’ve occasionally listened to it early in the morning on Pacifica Radio in Houston 90.1 FM, KPFT as well.
I take everything I hear on that show with not only a grain of salt…but more like a TABLESPOON of salt.
It’s nowhere close to being objective journalism.

As for taking over Gaza, even I don’t advocate that. Nor do a majority of Israelis.
But I do recommend continued military action against Hamas until they a) release all hostages, and b) unconditionally surrender.
Their continued existence and reign of terror represents a real and extant threat to the lives of innocent Israelis, as we all saw on 10/7. NO country should be forced to tolerate such an obvious threat to their own security right on their borders.
The USA sure as Hell wouldn’t if one of its neighbors staged a similar attack in the USA.
