This isn’t a problem just with the DOJ but state and local agencies as well.

One reason I don’t carry a bunch of cash. The government doesn’t want us to use cash anyway, because they can’t track it.
It looks like the main example in this article got her money back from the fbi recently but it did take a long time.
Yea but there are other abuses and problems with asset forfeiture.
