June at the latest is my guess.
Yep, no way itās more than 10-12 weeks.
Altuve, Brantley, McCullers, Alvarez. All either injured or getting a slow start on spring.
This season has a bad feel to it.
Tranquilloā¦ā¦it will be fine.
Who knows, we may have somebody unexpectedly get a bunch of time and be a legitimate ROY candidate this year.
I wonder how effective Altuve will be whenever he gets back (whether 10-12 weeks or longer). Thatās his throwing hand too. I hope we get the Altuve that weāre used to.
Iām not at all worried about his throwing hand. Itās really going to be about him getting his feel for hitting again, trusting that heās healed, and getting the timing back.
It should not take someone like him more than a couple of weeks to really have his timing back to normalā¦ā¦his defense will be fine.
I would be on the phone with Oakland and see if we can get Diaz back.
Wouldnāt cost much in terms of compensationā¦ā¦cut Dubon outright.
Then you have Diaz/Hensley to man the spot for a couple of monthsā¦.solidifies your bench when Altuve comes back.
Astros ace currenlty on the mound in the WBC, big moment
Can someone tell me how we watch the Astros this season??
Spring training games have still been on ATT sports direct tv for meā¦.nothing has changed.
Funk, pretty sure the new Astros jersey with the gold dropped tonightā¦ā¦did you get a hold of a Dubon yet?
no iām still paying off maldonado
Now Brantley is starting the season on the IL and they suspect Yordan will as well.
The Stros have had a lot of good things go their way during the last 7 years. Maybe the law of averages is catching up with them this year.
Sick, had to look in my closet to compare. The letters are blue, last time they were gold.
Was fingers crossed they were gonna do the blue rainbows with gold. 30% off customization if you go in person. Hoping they do online orders.
I donāt like the gold.
That stinks. We are going to be without 1/3 of our starting lineup on opening day. Shoulders are tricky. I had shoulder surgery 4 months ago. Iām still going to PT twice a week. It still hurts and Iām still limited on what I can do. Yordan had trouble with that hand last year. Did he do anything during the off season to rehab it? Thatās more disappointing to me than Brantleyās shoulder.
You just hope that Bregman, Abreu, Tucker and Pena can carry the team for the first two months. That foursome if they are hot can certainly carry the team. I think Yordan will be back in a month, but Brantleyā¦ that has a bad feel to it. Then Altuve, you have to expect two months of no activity, then a month of rehab and then another month before he resembles himself.
This has a very bad feel to it. But who knows, over the last 7 years there always seems to be someone new that steps up.
I always look at this stuff as a blessing in disguiseā¦.itās gonna give the Dirdenās and Yainerās a chance to get some good ABās before we are healthyā¦ā¦maybe even someone else off the radar.
Baseball is a looooong seasonā¦ā¦plenty of time to right the ship if they get off to a bad start.
Not even worried about it.
Itās a LONG season!!
Just be grateful that Altuveās injury wasnāt season ending.
Brantley and Yordan will be back soon. Weāll be fine and I agree with Pollard that it will give them a chance to look at Yanier and Dirden. As long as everyone is healthy come the playoffs weāll be fine.
Yordan is āsupposedā to see game action this weekā¦ā¦weāll see I guess.
His situation is the one I donāt quite understandā¦.the team has access to the best doctors/specialists in the world. So he should have seen one or more of the best Orthopaedic Hand Specialists availableā¦ā¦and all they could come up with is rest?
Heās had 3 months before spring training even started to ārestā his handsā¦ā¦has anyone heard of any sort of treatment plan he has been on?
Is it a neuropathic condition ?
I would not think he has gout or lupusā¦.is it nerve pain? All we hear is āhand soreness ā.
