Attendance: It's Houston. Not UH

I don’t pay $17 for a beer out of principle. I can afford it.,

Right… that’s what camelbacks were made for…

I don’t mind if it’s a draft in a souvenir cup, but I am not a fan of the gas station 24oz specials.

SigEpCoog2005 posted “FYI Our club’s food and soft drinks are FREE.”

We have club seats and yes, we do not have to pay for food and soft drinks served in the club game days. However, if you look at the per ticket cost and required minimum seat donation, the costs of the food and soft drinks are buried in there. Also, you can buy a 12 ounce can of beer in the club.

I said that in response to a review of the food prices in the club seats at Tennessee. That club in the video cost roughly twice as much as ours and no food is included. Personally I don’t understand the full buffet at a football game we do, is it really that big of a perk? Do people go to the game for the carving station?

Check out these prices, this is “select concession stands” at UT

Clearly UT is baking cheaper concessions into the price of their tickets

Part of the problem we have that UT, either one, doesn’t is they know roughly the number of people they will feed on a gameday, whereas we may have a game with 30% more the than week before, many of our local vendors have failed during a season.

It is when people spend most of the game in there to stay in the AC.

This is in no way universal. Varies widely by school and/or community.

I have a very hard time giving away my extra ticket, or on the very rare occasion I can’t go, my tickets and parking pass. The only success is when I put them on Coogfans for free. I never sell my tickets, it’s worth it to me to just have them used.

For most of the fans at games in big cities this may be true, although I know many folks in Katy that go to HS games that don’t have kids playing. In a whole lot of, if not most, small towns, the high school game is the big event of the week and the town folks turn out big time.

Top25, That sounds like a good plan if we would just do it. That may be the hardest part.

there are all kinds of options today for kid care on weekends.

*Like the shady street rabble of contemptuous characters comprising the 7th Cavalry during the indian wars, loathsome replaceable soldiers of fortune.

And Houston are the noble crafty Sioux… cherished fathers, sons, and brothers… fighting for a free and endangered way of life!

Got it! Fixed your analogy for you.

I’m very surprised… I don’t have any problem at all giving mine away.

I guess I just hang out with more Coogs…

Hey Mike, I have a solution…

In the futue message me and I wil make sure any spare tix you have are used by Coogs.

In fact, IF ANYONE ON HERE HAS SPARE TIX UNUSED LMK BCUZ I WILL MAKE SURE A COOG GETS THAT TICKET AND GOES TO THE GAME.

Weather is looking okayish for game time tomorrow, for whatever it’s worth. Looks like the rain might hold until after.

Won’t have to worry about this tweet next week. Not gonna be in the T-25. Lol

This year seems different though. Wasnt shocked by low attendance last year. I expected the fairweather fans to come back this year. So far…

It really does seem different. The team is winning, the offense is efficient, we are in the BigXII, and yet we seem to be going backwards. It’s stunning to see so many empty seats on TV, almost as though we had turned the clock back 25 years.

This is Houston. Start with the premise that we have 15-18,000 die hards. After that the city and the uninvolved university community are up for grabs. But even trying to unravel it through our prism isn’t worth the time. My four seats are occupied every game and I’ve only been to one. I actually don’t have any problem getting people to use my seats. We (this board) are really not the problem.
