If we are looking at any of the top FCS defensive coordinators, there are some good ones available
South Dakota State leads the FCS in quite a few defensive categories maybe we should look at their DC
He’s only 29-30 and a SDSU alum. He will definitely be a head coach someday
North Dakota State DC is only 32 and an NDSU alum. He also will end up being a head coach someday

Tyrone Nix? He’s been around the block. He was South Carolina’s DC when we played them in the Liberty Bowl after the 2006 season and then he was DC for Ole Miss. I think he was also DC at Southern Miss for a few years.

La Tech DC, Sam Houston Dc that just took a job at North Texas, Rice DC or Ragin Cajun DC would be on the top of my gettable coordinators

The rice Defensive Coordinator? We scored more points on Rice this year than anyone else on our schedule. Hiring him would make as much sense as when we recruited Donovan Smith after he threw 3 picks against us.

they don’t have the best talent there and has managed to put together decent defenses the last couple of years.

Rice finished #36 in total defense. That’s quite an accomplishment given their talent.
