That should not matter in the least, especially for college football.
There are plenty of guys that less than 6’ that have been successful in college.
If there are college coaches not offering him because he “isn’t tall enough” they missing out.

We are in a Power conference now….that BS doesn’t fly anymore.
yeah turns out I will be at the hoops game also lol…was going to let my wife and granddaughter go to the basketball game but my wife has convinced me that sitting outside for a ball game is probably not the greatest thing for me to endure coming off a week of coughing.
I am still hoping that the weather conditions are good for me to go to the football game Saturday lol. But I don’t want to mess up the trip to Las Vegas Monday!
Yes they are, but the coaches with the big NIL bags that go after blue chip recruits can get the 6-5 prototype QBs and they will pass on the 5-10 guys. They will always take a good tall guy over a good short guy.
They also know now, if the 5’10" guy ends up being a killer, they can just buy him off his current team.
Carlisle didnt do well passing because north shores cb1 and cb2 are both 5 stars, but killed them with his legs. 150 yards rushing with his long being 59. If he can get some elite recievers, we will be in business.
With Austin or Caleb, all we need is a O coordinator who has quick developing pass routes and calls the plays at the right time/situation.
And learn to use TEs.
No surprise here, but Carlisle was named district MVP
Well he can redshirt now get stronger and learn behind Weigman
I still think McMickle will be above Carlisle
Mc has been in the system for two years and certainly should be above Carlisle in the depth charge.
I expect Austin to redshirt next year but you never know with the portal and injuries.
One day the team will be his and he will be a fan favorite.
Butch, all things being equal you are right, McMickle should be ahead of him. But all things are rarely equal. McMickle has been injured and I don’t know how far along his recovery has come.
Playing time is not based on seniority, it’s based on skill and performance; whomever plays best will win the job. We don’t know if any of the QBs has the patience to wait their turn, the portal is calling.
Donovan Smith started based on seniority.
Smith started because he was our NIL investment
Plus the fact no one really showed much in the spring.
Connor Weigman has accuracy issues. Without a fair QB competition he starts. If it’s equal im betting McMickle wins the job if healthy. Connor has arm talent but struggle with accuracy and stares at his target. Hope Coach Fritz doesn’t hand the job to Connor.
Curious, McMickle came here from Georgia. From practices etc., is he ready for prime time?
That’s like going to an interview and don’t get hired because of experience. How else do you get experience? McMickle has attributes that on film other QB’s do not have. Accuracy on the move. Make throws under pressure. If he did not get hurt, he would be already the starter.
