He transferred in from Foster
With the speed, football IQ he reminds me of:
I would love to see him at QB but his âflawlessâ burst of speed is indeed deadly.
My daughter got to meet McCaffrey several times while she was at at UT. She actually got to be somewhat of a friend and corresponded with him regularly, and still does on occasion. She described him to my wife and myself as a muscular and very fit guy, but not as big as one might expect of a football player, and also as a genuinely nice guy. He was good friends with one/more of the All-American swimmers at UT and he was on campus frequently⊠She got to know some of those swimmer guys too, because her best friend dated one of the better baseball players, and he happened to hang with the swimmers. She tutored many of the swimmers. She always described the swimmers as gigantic, freakish athletes and " huge beyond belief", more so than many of the football players. Go figure.
Interesting. What was McCaffery doing at UT?
I thought I replied earlier, so sorry if this is a repeat. Very good question, but my daughter said that she thought he was visiting friends. He was apparently friends with some of the All American swimmers at UT. She got to meet him several times and he actually still corresponds with her on social media. What is interesting is the âfearâ that all of the other athletes have of the swimmers. Yes the swimmers. My daughter said that the football players do not mess with the swimmers. The swimmers are gigantic, ripped and intimidate everyone.
WR probably better long term position for him. And would give him better shot at NFL.
Yes. Like a slot receiver!!!
Did you read the whole post, it says ho was friends with some swimmers and would visit often.
I was wondering too. Why McCaffrey was in the state of Texas? He was along way from home. Also what was a grown man doing on the 40 acres? Thx for your response.
You mean, like Greg Ward?
In other news, Austin Carlisle committed to play QB for our Coogs.
ThisâŠ
But I want to hear more about the gargantuan, domineering swimmers that rode roughshod over the 40 acresâŠ.sounds fascinating.
AC top 6 and 1 point off a 4 star. Iâm telling yall people are sleeping on him. This kid is special. Heâs going to be on the field one way or another. Heâs a QB that can make some noise quick!
Doesnt Arizona have a stud QB who is smaller in frame also this season. I believe in our coaching and development.
He might be a 4 star after his senior year
Grape smugglers
Rowdy Gaines loves thisâŠ
I guess he went to Auburn⊠I thought he was a UT swimmerâŠ
Eh⊠He still loves it!
Thanks for posting this. I was very impressed with Carlisle and after seeing ESPNâs assessment Iâm even more so. Itâs not often we get a dual threat QB that ESPN rates the #3 DT QB in Texas and the 6th best DT QB in the country. If I remember correctly, CWFâs Tulane QBs were good runners. Until we get top a quality O line, we we need QBâs that can run, throw quick, and throw on the run.
